Online Swap
This was made for a swap that I was in. The background is made of fabric with beading on top. There are single beads and clusters of beads. The clusters consist of keishi pearls, size 11 and size 15 sead beads. The heart consists of ironed angelina fibers which was cut out in the shape of a heart. The heart was then stitched to the background using silk thread. The left half of the heart was embroided with beads while on the right side I stitched another cluster as an embellishment.

Lariat necklace
This is a lariat I finished recently from a kit I purchased from Laura McCabe. I really love Laura's jewelry and own a few of her kits, patterns, and book. This is a really pretty piece when worn with a darker color such as black or purple (the lariat is lavender colored). I have also included a close-up of the lariat ends so you can get an idea of the intricacy of the beading. The lariat rests on an white-worked antique table cloth I got from my grandmother. If you are interested in seeing Laura's work, I have a link posted on right side of the blog ["Just Let Me Bead"]. Her work is beautiful, enjoy!

Beaded Swap
We had a swap called Beadazzled for one of the Yahoo groups I belong to. I made this cell phone fob for my swap partner. The fob design was from a pattern I did by Laura McCabe. I like these so much that I have made several of them for friends as gifts.

Needle Felting
This is my first attempt using wool roving to needle felt. This piece is a purse which we could make with or without the flap. I chose one with a flap. There are three different layers of roving which I did with a variety of colors. Once we had needle felted the purse on the form, we wrapped it in a leg from a pair of panty hose tieing the one end (or both) securely. The whole piece was put in a washing machine then dried. After being dried, we removed the nylon and then started to pull the bag away from the form and voila. We have a purse. I started beading the embellishments onto the purse. The closure is a piece of colored gourd which I drilled holes in and then beaded embellishments on them using Swarovski pearls and three beads as a picot.
